About Me

With 15+ years in design, I’ve worked across enterprise systems, IOT industrial applications, and FinTech. Today, I lead designers across centralized enablement teams, promotions, and supply chain at Kroger, where much of my focus is on driving consistency in the products we build and advancing innovation in areas like AI and its ability to streamline processes.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and tracking down the best coffee the greater Cincinnati area has to offer. I also enjoy lending my illustration and graphic design skills to creating show posters and writing and performing my own music.

How I Work

Systems before screens

Get the shared layer right and the next hundred screens take care of themselves. One Sketch file at Kroger became infrastructure for 50+ product teams.

Governance before growth

A system with one author has a ceiling. I settle who decides, how contributions get in, and what the documentation owes the people building on it.

Adoption is the measure

A library nobody uses is a portfolio piece. I design for pull rather than mandate: make the supported path the fastest path and teams take it.

Prototype, then decide

It is usually quicker to build the thing than to debate it. Staying close to production keeps my standards honest and my estimates real.

Co-design beats handoff

The components I am proudest of were built with the engineers who own them, not thrown over a wall: web components at Kroger, D3 visualizations at GE.

Lead by unblocking

I manage nine designers across core enablement, promotions, and supply chain. The measure is not what my team ships, it is how much other teams ship without needing us.
